Monmouth Creek

Seems really quiet in here, lately, so I thought I'd post a link to a TR on some easy mountaineering near Squamish. The trail requires a canoe to access (hence the fact that I hadn't got around to it yet), but parallels a fantastic-looking little canyon that is literally within sight of Squamish. This route has had at least one descent that I'm aware of, and looks like it would be an instant classic. Lots of water, some interesting anchor problems, but it could have all the elements of a great canyon. I would compare it to Cypress Falls, but with lots more vertical thrown in. At least 10 raps that I counted, up to maybe 30m in length. There is also supposedly a slot draining into the canyon lower down, but no descents that anyone is aware of.

Scroll down the responses to see a few shots I've posted, including a close-up of one of the slot sections and the natural bridge.

We could spend a whole summer just exploring the PNW! Looks way more fun than climbing...

I would like to update beta on existing canyons on canyoneeringnorthwest.  Changes at rappels or road and trail  access.are especially significant.  Does any one know if the bolts are still present at Franklin falls on the Snolqualmie river?  Also the conditions at Davis Creek.  Has anyone been to Silver Creek  or French cabin Creek?  Thank you for your help.
