Seattle in the middle of February, not much canyoning to do yet.
Next best
thing, talk about the upcoming season.
2007 looks to be a great season of
canyoning in the Northwest.
With the rugged weather of this winter, there
could be many canyons
in need of anchor upgrades this season.
Lots of new
folks interested in exploring first descents around here
this season.
It
seems that my usual canyoning partner, Joe has gotten himself a
job, and
wont be able to make it to the Northwest for the 2007
season. Great news for
Joe, but not great news for the Pacific
Northwest canyoning scene.
Joe's
energy and motivation were key in the development of many of
the new routes,
the last two seasons.
There are still many excellent looking canyons on the A
list to be
descended.
I hope to add a few of these to the completed
canyon list this
season.
Would also like to video more canyons here, in
Canada, Hawaii, and
France.
for the www.canyoningvideos
Anyone interested in these trips, or other ideas, let me
know.
Whats your thoughts for the 2007 season ?
Rob

Chris,
I would like Jasper in early August for $200.00, and count me in for
Cypress Creek, "the whole story".
Also keen for all of the possibles.
I think this is the year for "Hornet Creek", aka "step into a ground
hornet nest and get the holy @#$%^ stung out of me canyon".
Would be great if Wallace was in the middle of Mt. Rainier park, or
somewhere, anywhere else.
Right now the signs posted read something like a $70.00 fine for
swimming below the waterfalls.
Start early, during the week, not the weekend, and carry the money for
the fine in your dry bag.
