Last Exit and Cypress

Hey all,

Haven't posted here before, but figured it was time. I've been getting into canyons around the Colorado Plateau for the last couple of years. I live in Greater Vancouver, and have been meaning to get into some local canyons for a while.

Finally managed to get out with Chris Hood at the end of July, and did Last Exit for the Lost. An excellent experience! We took a leisurely trip through, mellow and relaxing. There are photos here, with the story told in the captions:

Another spot I've wanted to get into for a while was Cypress Creek, but Chris and I weren't able to coordinate a trip through together. I arranged to go through with a friend, Jenny, at the end of August. It was an early start, since I had to get to work at the airport for 2:30. We had a fantastic time! What a beautiful place. That final rappel was one of the most exhilarating I've done!

Off to Utah tomorrow morning for a week, then hoping to do some more stuff around here before winter sets in fully...
