Re: northwest activities
I'm wanting to get into more canyons this summer/fall. Some friends from CA, and possibly some local Vancouverites, plan to do a couple of SW BC and Vancouver Island canyons over about 4 days in mid-late August. Nothing exploratory, Boston, Looper, Norrish, that kind of thing.
I have also put a couple of trips on the BC Mountaineering Club trip schedule, to Cypress Creek one day, and Lost & Norrish another.
Chris, let me know when & if you get up here this summer/fall! I also have some time off in early September - I'll may come looking here for available folks to do a canyon or three.
Kevin
We just moved to Southern Oregon from Eastern Colorado and are having serious canyoneering withdrawal. As the water comes down I plan to check out the ones near us at the Crater Lake National Park if anyone would like to join us. I also have the last two weekends in August free (the 20th and the 27th)if someonelse is planning something, that would be great to join you. After the sandstone canyons, it will be interesting to see what other rock compositions create.
See you out there,
Errin
PS Chris - I think you did a trip in Zion with my mom and Ted many moons ago.
