I just received the following beta on Davis creek conditions. Hopefully we can get something up to date for the entire canyon.

I contacted you about a year ago to notify you of a complete road
washout of the Davis Creek access road. I would like to inform you
that it is now completely redone and operational to traffic.
This last weekend I made my first adventure down Davis Creek to explore
the beauty of the canyon. We (my girlfriend Ressa and I) actually
rappelled from the high overlook bridge to the bottom of the canyon.
It took all of our 60 meter rope to get to the canyon floor. It was
absolutely beautiful dropping down past the rock faces covered in
ferns. Once at the bottom there is only one way out of the canyon so
we came prepared. There has been two MAJOR floods down Davis Creek
since the last parties reported on your site. Knowing this, I didn't
know what to expect so we brought three 60 meter ropes (one left in
place at the bridge rappel), 80' of webbing, 8 carabiners, short rope
(25', 50', 75'), ascenders, 2 pullies, 6 prussik loops, an ATC, brake
rack, Gri Gri and an arborist bean bag. It turned out to be much more
than we needed but now we know what to expect for next time. The only
things that we ended up using were, one 60 meter wet/dry rope, three
carabineers and 20' of webbing.
I look forward to future visits. I will explore more parts of it later
in the summer. I suggest starting at the bridge for those with less
than perfect swift water skills. It took us about three hours, making
our own anchors. I left one carbineer and webbing anchor in place
above a tricky waterfall for future visits.
Thank
you for the great web site. Attached are some photo's of our recent
adventure. You are welcome to use them for your site. They were taken
