Got out this weekend and did a couple of canyons near Lake Wenatchee.
Lake creek canyon was good fun with a couple of good drops.
Followed a curious mink thru the bottom part of the canyon.
Water levels were good and all anchors are in place.

After that went and checked out the Little Wenatchee river gorge.
This is a popular class IV/V Kayak run that ended up being an exciting
class 2 canyon route at summer water levels.
No rappels, but plenty of combat swimming in a nice gorge.

I've   had  my eye  on  Little  Wenatche river but never got around to doing it.  Could you provide a  route description that I could post on

Chris Hood provided a fine description.  This is another enjoyable canyon right next to a major city.   The only other north American city (of which I am aware) in which you can do a canyon starting near an urban neighborhood is Pasadena california.
