Edith Creek

So, I'm checking out your Edith Creek photo album. I really
appreciate your enthusiasm but don't any of you own snow skis?

:-)

I don't own skis. On October29 there was insuficient
snow for skiing at Edith Creek which is at 5400 feet.
There were people skiing at 7000 feet. The road to
Paradise is open in the winter so a winter descent is
feasible. I found a lost snow board in the canyon
several years back.

I do own skis (heading to Whistler for the start of the season over Thanksgiving), but they're not so great for waterfalls (not enough momentum or a good enough landing zone!)

Fun to push the limits though and deal with frozen zippers for the novelty, but I doubt frozen canyoneering will ever become a popular mainstream sport!
