Recently moved to Seattle and interested in exploring WA canyons. My experience has been mostly in the southern UT Zion and Escalante canyons. Send me an email or give me a call 8 zero 1 259 3 two 83 if you have time and are interested in showing someone new to the area, some of the local canyons.

Recently, www.canyoneeringnorthwest.com  was down.  It is back up.  During the time it was down I received
many messages from people telling me how they  liked the website  and relied on it for beta. Some people offered to help out financially.   I  am very grateful  for this show of support  and thank every one for their kind words.

In the last ten years my son and I have put about $1500 and countless hours into the website.   We get no publicity or money from the site.  Indeed, our names are rarely mentioned at all.  I did  not name the website "kenscanyontrips.com" because the website is not about any one individual.   Its is intended as a record of canyon beta, photos, trip reports and maps to serve the entire northwest canyoneering  community.  It's about every ones canyon trips.  There is no need to contribute money  at this time. The best contribution is to go out and do northwest canyons and share your photos,  beta, maps etc.  Current information on approaches, trail conditions, rappel anchors etc. is especially appreciated.

We started out with 11 canyons  and now have over 100.  The website becomes more useful as people do new canyons.    I have listed some   "canyon prospects".   These are canyons which may not have been descended and for which   we have little or no beta.  Last year 3 college students read about Ape Canyon on the "Seven Undescended
Page" and went out and descended it.   I have many suggestions for canyon explorations which are not yet mentioned on the website.     Just contact me and mention what area you are interested in. Thank you for your  help.
