How to contact Dusty Goldscheider or do you know someone to guide me ?

Hi,

I will be spending 3,5 weeks in Vancouver Island and I'm trying to see how I can go and see a few creeks in there.

I used to do canyoneering in France (roughly 150 descent) but for me it is very complicated to bring all the gear since it is mainly a trip with my wife and I will bring many other things with me for hiking and leasure.

Do you know how to contact Dusty or do you know other persons that might guide me for at least one creek or two ?
Is there any sport rental that might have the complete canyoneering equipment ?

Thank you for your help.

Till now I didn't find an easy solution and it looks like I will not do canyoneering but if you have some good idea it will be appreciated a lot.
If not, don't worry I have plenty of other activities already planned.

Regards,
Michael.

Michael,

You can get Dusty's E-mail address from the canyoneering Northwest site. Look under the contacts tab.
Looper creek is a great short limestone canyon on the island that requires little technical gear.
Might be a good option for you.
Chris Hood would have other suggestions for you regarding canyoning on the island. Hope this helps.
Rob
